Because last time, the internet connection was too poor. So I wanted to look for alternative ISP. Then, I asked and asked. And always asked about the speed. Then, they always gave me the speed with unit “bps” (bit per second). What is this?

Most of the time, when we download, we will see the download speed, that is using kb/s (kilobyte per second). So, I search through internet, how to convert bps to kb/s.

Windows XP is very good, because if you install with the East Asian Language, then you are able to type chinese with built-in IME (Input Method Editor).

And recently, introduced by my brother, Sogou Pinyin Input 搜狗拼音輸入法. Then I found that, there are other IMEs which are much better than XP built-in IME. And I also tried Goolge Pinyin Input 谷歌拼音輸入法, which is also very famous as Sogou Pinyin Input. If you like, you can try some other IMEs from here (very good, all are freeware).

I like to read the news using feed. That is why I use Sage and FeedReader. Sage is the addon of Firefox. I prefer FeedReader. Because it can be installed as a portable version. Then I can subscribe RSS to the FeedReader.

Sin Chew Daily is one of my favourite, because it is chinese newspaper of Malaysia. And just found that, it provides RSS. Previously, it does not, so I need to browse the website. Now, it is easy to read the news through FeedReader.

Since the internet connection is smooth, I just upload the driver..

關於漢字，原來漢字本身并不帶有讀音。因此，單看漢字，并不能推測讀音。由於西方文化的接觸和電子科技的發展，羅馬字的運用變得普遍，所以才有了拼音輸入法。然而，電腦所輸入的漢字也因此變得有限。因為電腦的漢字必須根據“字型”(Font)來決定。

另外，中文漢字又分簡體和繁體。因此漢字的編碼又因地區的不同而有分別。簡體漢字普遍有國標碼(GB)，而繁體普遍有大五碼(Big5)。為了方便同時能讀簡繁漢字，就有了統一碼(Unicode)。

其實漢字會因著時代的需求而演變和創新。因此漢字不應該是有限的。而朱邦復所創的倉頡輸入法則運用了24個羅馬字母來輸入漢字：日月金木水火土、竹（斜）戈（點）十（交）大（叉）中（縱）一（橫）弓（勾）、人心手口、尸（側）廿（並）山（仰）女（紐）田（方）卜。運用倉頡輸入法，就可以創新字。倉頡輸入法普遍是第三代。然而第五代和第三代的輸入法又有些不同。

但其實，我個人認為，在我們日常生活中，也不需要每天創造新字。并且所創的新字又不帶有標準讀音。因此，不能把漢字當作羅馬字來運用。但漢字畢竟有其微妙之處，因為一個字即可包含很多意思。

I do not upload BlueTooth driver, because I don’t use it. So, I also don’t know which BlueTooth driver is suitable for Toshiba Satellite M200.

I haven’t upload Wireless LAN driver. Because the file is 50.9Mb. I still haven’t decided to upload it. Because it is too big. This is what I can do now.

I just want to inform, my place currently cannot connect internet smoothly. Therefore, it is hard for me to update the blog. And, for the visitors who request the drivers, I cannot send the drivers now… This need to wait until the ISP solve the “fiber optic” problem…

Even now, I also hard to check mail and surf net. Very disappointed.

During the mass, we will say the Creed. And, normally, there are 2 Creeds: Nicene Creed and Apostle’s Creed.

Nicene Creed is the longer form and Apostle’s Creed is shorter.

Then, have you heard about Athanasian Creed? We will not say this Creed during the mass. But, I like to read this Creed. Because the Creed says about Holy Trinity and Incarnation, very nice.

Again Toshiba driver.

Since the sound driver I suggested in my previous post does not work, so lastly I need to upload the driver of my laptop.

But the driver I uploaded does not content setup file. Therefore, one needs to right-click “oem1.inf” and select “install”.

I exported the driver using DriverMax (freeware). I didn’t upload the original setup folder, because it is about 83 mb. So, after exported and compressed the file, it is about 9 mb.

Because the use of Java is increasing, in websites or software, that is why I install Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Why need JRE? Because the software developed by using Java language will need the JRE, so that the software is WORA (Write Once, Run Anywhere).

Then, Microsoft also produces similar product. That is .NET Framework. .NET Framework becomes popular because of C# language.

However, what I want to say is, I just found that .NET Compact Framework is different from .NET Framework. Now, .NET Framework 3.5 is released. However, the full installation file is about 100mb. It is quite wasting time to download it. And I just found .NET Compact Framework 3.5, which is much smaller than .NET Framework. So, I thought it is a “compact version” of .NET Framework. And search the Wikipedia about .NET Compact Framework, and found that both are different things. :)
